How It All Began

Elizabeth Feehan had been involved in the beauty industry her entire working life, initially starting out with her own hair and beauty salon, before opening the award-winning training academy, The Beauty School in Warrenpoint, Co. Down.

‘I always knew I wanted to teach others the skill of beauty therapy and highlight that it is just that, a skill!  It’s important to give a fresh approach to beauty training, since the industry is forever evolving and, at times, complex. I’m always mindful of the latest trends, products and services available on the market, alongside excellent client communication and outstanding customer service. I wanted The Beauty School to be recognised for offering the very best beauty training, so I made it my mission to join forces with the very best brands. Adding High Definition to our offering was a real moment for us at the academy, as they represented everything I stood for – thorough practical training.’

Most of Elizabeth’s career has been built around educating others. Prior to The Beauty School’s launch in 2007, the business woman worked within local colleges teaching enthusiastic therapists new skills. It was during this time Elizabeth recognised that this was where she wanted to grow, and soon began to build her own training academy in Warrenpoint, Co Down.

The academy very quickly gained a reputation for delivering high quality training and excellent customer service. Collaborating with brands such as HD Brows and Nouveau Lashes, The Beauty School rapidly became the first-choice destination for beauty education in Northern Ireland. So much so, they quickly outgrew their first premises and had to relocated to a bigger space.

Even in tough economic times, it seemed the demand for beauty treatments and products was on the increase. Elizabeth responded to this by  offering additional courses in Wilton, Co Cork, allowing the academies to cater to even more students in Northern Ireland on a weekly basis.

So, what is behind the success of The Beauty School? Elizabeth believes;

‘The quality products, excellent service and first class training offered is one of the reasons behind our success. It has always been important for me to listen to what salons and their clients want, so I am forever, and will forever, respond quickly to their needs. Not only that, I strive to provide the very best customer service – in training and after qualification, making students feel supported every step of the way.’
